Thank You To Our P&C
The P&C do an amazing job providing opportunities for our students and raising money for our school. Over the past two years, the P&C have contributed over $100,000 towards our 2 new playgrounds and towards the new multipurpose courts.
Thank you to our P C for their amazing contribution to fundraising and events for our children.
I would like to thank our volunteers who helped out with the Mother’s Day stall. This was greatly appreciated and as always, a great success.
Also, thank you to Kate Hare and Danielle Hicks for baking and decorating over 200 cup cakes for Day for Dolly.
The P&C always require extra help and support. Currently, we have a very small team who are organising all the events. If you are able to help, please contact Kate Hare on khare17@eq.edu.au or let the office know and someone will be in contact.
National Road Safety Week
This week is National Road Safety Week and Walk to School Day on Friday. As we all know, before and after school is very busy in the school car parks and around schools.
Thank you to all our families that follow the expectations in the car park and on the roads. This is especially in the drop off and pick up zone. Our expectations and processes are in place to make sure all our students stay safe.
It is very important that parents continue to remind their child of safe use of riding bikes and scooters. It is also a reminder that it is law to wear a helmet when riding a bike or scooter.

From the Deputy Principal - Mr Caudwell
Greetings to our Bellmere Community,
Mobile Phones and Students Contacting Parents
Mobile Phone Check-In Procedures
Students who bring mobile phones to school are required to check them in at the school office each morning upon arrival. These phones are securely stored and returned at the end of the school day. This practice helps ensure that devices are not a distraction during learning time and that they are used responsibly. It also supports our efforts to promote face-to-face social interaction and minimise digital disruption during the school day.
We appreciate your support in reminding your child to check in their phone each day. If students do not check in their phones, it can lead to unnecessary distractions or breaches of our digital use policy.
iPads and Communication Between Home and School
While iPads are a valuable learning tool in the classroom, they are not to be used as a method of communication between students and parents during the school day. If you need to contact your child for any reason, we ask that you do so through the school office or via the class teacher, as appropriate. Similarly, if your child needs to get in touch with you, they should speak to their teacher or visit the office to make contact.
This ensures that all communication is monitored and occurs at appropriate times, helping maintain the integrity of classroom learning and student wellbeing.
Thank you for working with us to maintain a productive and respectful school environment. If you have any questions about these procedures, please don’t hesitate to contact the office.

STUDENT RESOURCE SCHEME PAYMENTS
Thank you to all parents who have made payments towards the Student Resource Scheme for 2025.
Payments can be made at anytime using the invoice BPoint link (amount can be changed to suit), via the QKR! App, direct deposit into the school bank account (BSB- 064-405 ACC – 10700604 using surname and SRS as reference) or by EFT in the office. If you made an instalment arrangement, the 3rd and final payment was due back in Week 10 of Term 2.
We are happy to arrange alternative payment plans or Centrepay deductions if this method is not possible. Please email Sue Taylor, Business Manager, on stayl375@eq.edu.au or admin@bellmeress.eq.edu.au to arrange this. Students will be able to receive their resources once a payment has been made.
QPARENTS
QParents links directly with One School, the program used by the school to store student information including personal details, absences, all report cards and finance information. Registration will need to be completed on a computer and then all further interactions can be done through the App on a phone or tablet. New parents will receive a QParents invitation code in the next week or two and current parents should already have received theirs previously. This link will guide you through the registration process. The fact sheet is provided for your information. If you cannot find your invitation email please send a request to admin@bellmeress.eq.edu and a new email will be sent to you. Your child’s EQ id is on the invoices we send you, directly below the address box at the top left of the invoice.
UNIFORM SHOP
The uniform shop will be open after school on Tuesday’s from 3:00-3.30pm.
However, QKR! ordering will remain the same and orders will still be delivered to your child’s class on Monday’s, Wednesday’s & Friday’s.
SIGN OUT PROCESS
We will continue the same sign out process for when children are leaving school early. Parents will need to come to the office, sign their children out on the iPad in the reception area. Parents will receive a printed slip which they will show the office staff who will let them through the office door. Parents will then go to the child’s classroom, give the printed slip to the teacher and collect the child. At break times the child will be called over the load speaker as it is difficult to locate the child during break times.
There will be a specialist timetable on the wall near the iPad so parents can see where their child is located in the school. Also, teachers will have a notice on their door to indicate where the class is. Eg STEM, MUSIC, PE, Library.
Steps to sign children out early:
- Sign your child out on the ipad in the foyer.
- Collect the printed sign out ticket.
- Show the office staff the ticket, they will let you into the school.
- Walk to your child’s classroom.
- Give the printed ticket to the classroom teacher.
- Collect your child and exit via the office administration.
It is very important that the school is notified of any student absences. The Department of Education requires a reason for each and every absence.
The methods for advising absences are as follows:
By email - admin@bellmeress.eq.edu.au
By telephone - 5498 0666 - there is a dedicated absentee line where you can leave a message 24 hours per day.
Q Parents - if you have registered for the Q Parents app, you can advise absences this way.
On Thursday 1st May, selected students represented Bellmere State School at the Caboolture District Cross Country. Students competed against other schools in 2km and 3km races. All students gave it their best effort for Bellmere. Big congratulations to Ruby Hickling who came 3rd in the girls 10 year olds, earning her an invitation to participate in the Regional Cross Country trial at Maroochydore. Special mention to Harriett Kinaston who came 7th in the girls 10 year olds, Kaylah Rogers who came 18th in the girls 12 year olds and Lewis Kinatson who came 18th in the boys 12 year olds. We had an absolutely fantastic day celebrating all the wonderful mums out there! The fun started with decorating nail files and creating beautiful, heartfelt cards to show our love to our Mums. We giggled and got messy pulling forks through oobleck — a squishy, silly way to build our fine motor skills!
Inside, we practiced our painting skills by creating colourful hand prints and nail painting just in time for Mother’s Day. Meanwhile, outside everyone was bursting with energy as we designed bright chalk flowers on the sensory table and tackled the obstacle course like champions — climbing, balancing, and using our big muscles with huge smiles on our faces!
