Greetings to our Bellmere Community,

What a start to 2025! It has been great getting around to classrooms and seeing your children engaged in class activities, and teachers enjoying getting to know students. There has been a great feel to the start of this year, especially with quite a few new staff faces around our school. Thank you for preparing your children for the start of the school year.

iPad – Apps

Just a reminder to update your child’s iPad with the appropriate apps as per our 2025 App List.

Teachers are keen to be using iPads as a learning tool with students. If iPads do not have the apps needed, this makes it very difficult for your child to access the work.

If you don’t yet have an iPad, please consider getting one ASAP. Students who have their own iPad are best placed to access the online opportunities that teachers provide.

Student Leadership applications due this Friday!

For our Year 6 students who are interested in holding a leadership position (Captain or Senior Leader) must submit their application by Friday. Speeches for the position of Multicultural, STEM and Performing Arts captains will take place next Thursday morning. House Captain speeches will be held next Thursday afternoon.

Following this, students will be elected and will be inducted at the Student Leader Investiture on Friday 21^st February. Parents are welcome to attend the Investiture at 9:15am in the Hall.

Good luck to all students who have nominated! I look forward to working with them throughout the year and supporting their leadership.

On leave – 3 weeks

As of this Friday 7^th February, I will be taking 3 weeks of long service leave. I will be unavailable to respond to emails at this time. If you need to discuss a concern, please contact the office and they will put you into contact with the appropriate person.

I look forward to returning on Tuesday 4^th March and seeing all of our students, teachers and parents around then!
