From the Principal
Dear Parent and Carers,
It is hard to believe that we are at the end of Term 1 and April is upon us.
I would like to thank all the teachers, students and parents for their hard work this term. It has been wonderful to see the amazing learning from the students which all parents will be able to see on Thursday afternoon during the School Showcase from 2pm to 3pm. This is a great opportunity to for parents to share in their students’ achievements.
Parent/teacher interviews will be on Monday 28th April which is week 2 of Term 2. A SOBS link has been sent out to families.
It is vital that we work as a team to be able to make sure our children are the very best they can be. We are very lucky at Bellmere SS to have an amazing school community that are all here to support each and every individual. I would like to express a huge thank you to parents and carers for their continued support of the school. As our motto states, “We are a community of learners” and “Hand in Hand we learn”. This is so true when we work as a whole community.
Thank you to Mr Nish for all his organisation of the cross country which was held last Tuesday. It was wonderful seeing the students show their persistence during the event and never giving up. This shows great strength of character for these students. It is important that we have a go at different events even if we find it challenging. Thank you to the parents that came along to support their children and other students.
SUPERVISION IN THE MORNING
A reminder to all families that the school gates open at 8:15am. This is when supervision for students begin.
If you require to drop your child off before 8:15am, before school care is available. We are having many children dropped off well before 8am. This creates a number of concerns, as there is no one to supervise them and can become a safety concern with cars driving through the car park.
Our office is open from 8:15am each morning. No children are to walk through this area before 8:15am besides our band children who do this once a week. The children in the school grounds prior to this time have been enrolled in before school care.
A reminder of that Term 1 finishes this Friday 4th April.
Term 2 begins Tuesday 22nd April as Monday is Easter Monday public holiday. In week 1, we only have 3 school days as Friday 25th April is ANZAC day public holiday.
I hope all families have a wonderful break of the school holidays and have a great Easter.
