From the Deputy Principal - Mr Caudwell
Greetings to our Bellmere Community,
Year 6 Camp
Last week, our Year 6 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Maroon Outdoor Education Centre. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Scenic Rim, the camp provided an incredible opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build resilience, and strengthen connections with their peers.
Over 5 days, students took part in a variety of outdoor activities, including canoeing, high ropes, team-building challenges, and campfire gatherings. Each activity was designed to promote confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving—all while having lots of fun!
We were so proud to see our Year 6s rise to the challenge, support one another, and embrace every moment with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. The camp was not only a celebration of their leadership journey in primary school but also a chance to create lasting memories with their classmates.
A big thank you to our dedicated staff for guiding and encouraging students throughout the camp, and to the Maroon OEC team for creating such a safe and rewarding experience.
We know this experience will stay with our Year 6 students for years to come!
World of Maths
This term, students enjoyed a fun and interactive World of Maths incursion, filled with hands-on problem-solving activities and challenges.
Working in small groups, students explored maths through puzzles, logic games, and real-world scenarios. It was great to see so much enthusiasm, teamwork, and creative thinking on display.
The incursion showed that maths is more than just numbers—it’s about thinking, experimenting, and having fun. A big thank you to the World of Maths team for an exciting learning experience our students won’t soon forget!
It’s a wrap on Term 2!
As we approach the end of another rich and rewarding school term, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many moments—big and small—that have made this term so special.
Across our classrooms, learning has come to life in diverse and meaningful ways. Whether it’s been through engaging incursions, unforgettable excursions, or the excitement of camps, our students have been given so many opportunities to connect their learning with the wider world. These experiences not only deepen their understanding but also help build friendships, confidence, and resilience. We have enjoyed Athletics Carnivals, our ANZAC Day ceremony, celebrated important days on the education calendar, and celebrated success—no matter how big or small.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our incredible staff. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers and support staff who go above and beyond every day to create safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environments. Their passion and commitment make a difference in the lives of our students and families.
To our parents and carers—thank you. Your support, encouragement, and partnership are sincerely appreciated. Whether you're helping with homework, attending school events, or simply checking in with your child each day, your involvement is a vital part of our community.
As we head into the holiday break, I hope your family finds time to rest, reconnect, and recharge. We look forward to welcoming our students back next term, ready for another exciting chapter of growth and learning.
