KindyLinQ
Last week at KindyLinQ - Our KindylinQ kids had a Wild Day at the Zoo!
We had so much fun exploring our zoo theme today at KindylinQ!
The children painted fierce lions using forks and brushes — lots of creativity and texture play! We made our very own giraffes, and there was even a “zoo ticket booth” where children could role-play buying tickets. On the floor, we set up a small-world zoo — full of imaginative play and storytelling.
In our sensory tray, we had squelchy oobleck and zoo animals — it was delightfully messy and full of discovery! Outside, the big black tray turned into a painting zone — bright colours, big brushes, and even bigger smiles!
Children zoomed up and down the path on ride-ons, built with large wooden blocks in the sandpit, and shared lots of laughs with their friends.
We also practiced scissor skills, drew ourselves as explorers, and used the magnetic boards — which gave some of our parents great travel-friendly play ideas!
It was a fantastic day of learning through play, exploring new textures, building fine motor skills, and making memories together.
We love learning at KindylinQ!
KindyLinQ - Week 8 – Community Helpers
We learned about community helpers like police, vets, and SES workers. A new family who have moved from New Zealand and recently joined KindyLinQ was curious about the SES, so we had a chat about how they help in emergencies!
We matched pictures of helpers on our Duplo blocks and played with puppets, which everyone loved. Our farm house was on fire (pretend!), and we became firefighters using spray bottles to put out the flames.
Outside, the sandpit and mud kitchen were full of busy play — cooking, creating, and building. Some friends practised their balancing skills, too!
Inside, we took fingerprints like the police and made our own helper puppets to take home. What a fun and busy day!
