School Review
This week we are having our school review. The review is a process that all state schools have every 4 years. The reviewers will be talking to staff, children, parents and community members about our school. It is a great time to celebrate the wonderful aspects of Bellmere SS and where we need to progress over the next 4 years to make Bellmere an even better school.
Parents will be able to speak to the reviewers on Tuesday afternoon before pick up and also on Wednesday morning at drop off.
End of Term
It is hard to believe that we are at the end of Term 3!
We have had a very busy term with the children continuing to show their abilities in all different areas of their education. It has been wonderful seeing students develop in their learning and aldo personally.
This term, the children have shown great success in their academic performance and in the extra-curricular activities at Bellmere SS.
There are so many things to celebrate from Term 3. These include: NAIDOC Week Assembly, many excursions, Prep 100 day celebration, District Athletics, Gala days, MBTA technology days, Book Week activities, Father’s Day stall, 2025 Prep Sessions, Instrumental Music events and our choir and band performing at Burpengary Manor age care facility.

Greetings to our Bellmere Community,
Learning Showcase, Thursday, 18 September
Thursday, 18 September at 2:15pm is our Term 3 Learning Showcase, our last one for the school year. Families are warmly invited into classrooms to celebrate and share in their child/ren’s learning from Term 3. We look forward to seeing you there!
We will open the gates at 2:15pm, which will allow teachers to bring the children in after break time and get ready for the open afternoon. There will be someone manning the main entrance gate, to allow parents to come in. If you are wanting to take your child home once you have visited the classroom, the teachers will have a paper roll copy for you to sign them out. No child will be allowed out of their classrooms without a parent or guardian that has signed them out. If you would like to take a sibling to see their brother's or sister's classroom, you can sign them out with their class teacher.

We will be communicating more about this to Year 5 students and families in the coming weeks.

STUDENT RESOURCE SCHEME PAYMENTS
Thank you to all parents who have made payments towards the Student Resource Scheme for 2025.
Payments can be made at anytime using the invoice BPoint link (amount can be changed to suit), via the QKR! App, direct deposit into the school bank account (BSB- 064-405 ACC – 10700604 using surname and SRS as reference) or by EFT in the office. If you made an instalment arrangement, the 3rd and final payment is due now.
We are happy to arrange alternative payment plans or Centrepay deductions if this method is not possible. Please email Sue Taylor, Business Manager, on stayl375@eq.edu.au or admin@bellmeress.eq.edu.au to arrange this. Students will be able to receive their resources once a payment has been made.
QPARENTS
QParents links directly with One School, the program used by the school to store student information including personal details, absences, all report cards and finance information. Registration will need to be completed on a computer and then all further interactions can be done through the App on a phone or tablet. New parents will receive a QParents invitation code in the next week or two and current parents should already have received theirs previously. This link will guide you through the registration process. The fact sheet is provided for your information. If you cannot find your invitation email please send a request to admin@bellmeress.eq.edu and a new email will be sent to you. Your child’s EQ id is on the invoices we send you, directly below the address box at the top left of the invoice.
SIGN OUT PROCESS
We will continue the same sign out process for when children are leaving school early. Parents will need to come to the office, sign their children out on the iPad in the reception area. Parents will receive a printed slip which they will show the office staff who will let them through the office door. Parents will then go to the child’s classroom, give the printed slip to the teacher and collect the child. At break times the child will be called over the load speaker as it is difficult to locate the child during break times.
There will be a specialist timetable on the wall near the iPad so parents can see where their child is located in the school. Also, teachers will have a notice on their door to indicate where the class is. Eg STEM, MUSIC, PE, Library.
Steps to sign children out early:
- Sign your child out on the ipad in the foyer.
- Collect the printed sign out ticket.
- Show the office staff the ticket, they will let you into the school.
- Walk to your child’s classroom.
- Give the printed ticket to the classroom teacher.
- Collect your child and exit via the office administration.
It is very important that the school is notified of any student absences. The Department of Education requires a reason for each and every absence.
The methods for advising absences are as follows:
By email - admin@bellmeress.eq.edu.au
By telephone - 5498 0666 - there is a dedicated absentee line where you can leave a message 24 hours per day.
Q Parents - if you have registered for the Q Parents app, you can advise absences this way.

Father’s Day Fun!
Our KindyLinQ Kids celebrated our amazing dads with lots of creative and hands-on activities!
Children made “My Dad Rocks” wall hangings using real rocks and fingerprints, and completed “All About My Dad” sheets with drawings, writing, or stickers.
We explored a new hammer and tack activity using wooden pieces and cork boards—great for fine motor skills!
Other highlights included dinosaur playdough footprints, construction play, tea parties, colour sorting, and imaginative fun with magnetic tiles and Duplo characters.
Outdoors, we built with big blocks and got messy with paint in the sensory tray—finishing with colourful handprints to take home.
Thanks to all our families for a fun-filled day!

Book Week Fun at KindyLinQ!
What a fantastic morning we had celebrating Book Week with our KindyLinQ families!
The room was buzzing with creativity as children explored craft and play activities linked to some of Mrs Clarkes and Ms Cameron’s favourite books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Elmer the Elephant, Dear Zoo, The Rainbow Fish, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
We had fun with blue playdough, sensory trays, peg boards, painting, and even made echidnas from playdough and sticks! Outside, there was mud kitchen cooking, sandpit animal play, painting with cars, and some exciting hurdle jumping.
During circle time, we sang songs chosen by the children. Each child went home with a book and a big smile!
Thank you to all the families who joined us to celebrate Book Week at KindyLinQ. Your involvement made the day even more special!
